International remote access

I have a user who will be making a business trip to China. He wishes to be able to access his office computer from China. I can give him the kind of access he desires through the Internet. Does China place restrictions on the parts of the Internet that can be seen? I have heard that China does censor content.

Namely, will he be able to access email through the Internet? Here, our email is through Logix Communications.

as far as I know China only blocks those things that threaten their government and filter web searches. This should not effect logmein unless they pissed them off for some reason.

Maybe someone will respond with more accurate and actual experience from being in China.

Give him VPN access back to your network

You'll sleep easier knowing that communications are encrypted and secure. I see no reason why China would restrict access to international IP addresses considering many hacking attempts originate from there and target our networks here. If anything, we should be blocking them from accessing our networks and not vice versa.
