International Standard for "RFP"

by pm100 In reply to International Standard fo ...

I dont believe there is some sort of an International standards for RFP available but there are some sort of guidelines that are followed generally. I have responsed to RFPs and have also created some RFP's myself.

Generally the RFP's that I make have 2 sections. one is the "general section", where in all teh general rules such as eligibility criterias, contact persons details, date of submission, format for submission etc etc are specified. The second section is the "technical" section. Here I put in pointed questions that are sorted topic by topic and the vendor has to reponde in a yes/no or customisation - if it is a product RFP. There is also a column for the responder for remarks.

Generally the technical section has over 300- 500 technical areas aovered in about 20 - 25 topics, but this is as per the RFP.

Hope this helps
