I set up ICS with no problem using a Win98SE machine,the other one was Win95 and a crossover cable. The Internet connection worked well but initially I couldn’t see the local files or browse my network. I decided that since I was getting my IP address dynamically from my ISP,unless I was online I wouldn’t have a protocol to use my network. I re-installed Netbui and all was well. My question is this: Can Netbui interfere with my internet connection? I use a dial up and since then I’ve really slowed down (from 52K average to 26K)I have trouble connecting and my connection freezes up a lot. According to an article on www.annoyances.org Netbui can interfere with the internet connection but the article does not elaborate on it. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
