I've just configured the POP3 protocol on Exchange 5.5 - after completing the configuration in Outlook Express, I get the following error when clicking on 'send & receive':

The connection to the server has failed. Account: '195.157.138.252', Server: '195.157.138.252', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Does anyone know why this isn't working?

Seems like port 110 (receiving msg) or port 25 (sending msg) are locked.

Look at :

Check that you have assigned the correct ports to the in coming and outgoing mail settings.

POP3 (incoming mail) is pt 25 whereas SMTP (outgoing mail) is pt 110. From the error above it appears as if you may have them the wrong way around.

Please forgive me if I am wrong.
