Internet Explorer 7 Keeps Crashing my Sony Desktop PC

I have Win XP Home SP2 1.5Gb Ram P-4 2.5 GHtz and all the Windows security updates. Loaded IE 7 recently and can’t get it to stay up long enough to post e-forms from sites or access functions from sites visited. Get message saying IE 7 has to close because of some error sorry for the inconvience. Can’ even get to MS to post the problem. I am sending this from a laptop that also has IE7 and it does not crash as often.
