Hi all,
Here’s my problem: I have IE7 version 7.0.5730.11 installed on Win XP SP2 with all the latest available updates installed.
The problem I have goes as following: When I click on the Maximize/Restore button, the screen size is not properly set and I therefore have a slightly reduced screen size IE displayed.
Of course, when I click on the task bar icon of IE, I have a fully maximized IE displayed.
The problem only appears when I use the Maximize button. I tried all I could think of but I never have been able to solve the problem.
It wouldn’t be a big problem if Windows Live Messenger wouldn’t use the wrongly Maximised screen size of IE whenever I click on the Open Inbox button or when I click on the small blue notify windows appearing on the right bottom corner of the screen to announce that I received new Emails.
I’ve been looking everywhere for months to find a way to solve this annoying problem, to no avail…
I even spent countless hours to search the registry in case I could find a key somewhere which could explain why the d*mn Maximize button refuses to truly maximize IE window size.
During a very long time, I thought that Windows Live Messenger was the faulty one but today, once I totally uninstalled it, I discovered that the problem was in fact directly related to IE7.
Of course, I used the very last version of WLM which is 2008 build 8.5.1302.1018, which I reinstalled of course…lolll
So, anyone who could tell me how to solve this extremely annoying problem, once and for all, would save me from turning totally insane…lolll
Regards.
