I have an interesting “problem”. I say problem in quotes because while it is an interesting behavior, it in no way adversely seems to affect anything.
While browsing the web in IE 7.0, more often than not the browser never fully loads a page. Well, it does however the little spinning circle never stops spinning and in the taskbar at the bottom of the window it never says Done. It always says Waiting for http://blahblahblah.
I’m pretty convinced it must be some 3rd party app. Perhaps an addon (which I don’t really use too many) or something like Adaware, Spybot, etc.
I tried turning off the phishing filter and that wasn’t it either.
Anyways, like I said it’s not really a problem because all pages do fully load, speed isn’t affected, etc. Just a little quirk I noticed the other day.
And, by the way, please none of the usual crap about Firefox. Look, I like IE better and this is a professional website where we try to solve problems and not just recommend getting rid of a problem by using a different product.
Anyone else seen this? Could it be caused by looping ads?
This is Win XP 32bit, fully patched including SP3, AMD 3200+, 2 GB RAM, and no malware…I scan regularly and have it locked down like Fort Knox. I have a 6 MB DSL connection, 250 MB reserved for temp files and check automatically for newer versions of stored pages.
This is weird.
