    How Can I prevent internet explorer desktop icon form being deleted by users (prevented other desktop icons from being deleted but users can still delete IE

      If being able to right click on it and get into Internet Options isn’t a big deal, make sure the users do not have anything other than read access to the c:\documents and settings\all users directory. Then create a short cut to IE in the c:\documents and settings\all users\desktop folder. The will be able to see it but not delete it.
