internet explorer in protected mode

By eerwrwrwrd ·
ok i understand that when i run internet explorer 7 with protected mode im not running it with my administrator account fine, but i have found on the net a command line to clear history using a shortcut C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe InetCpl.cpl,ClearMyTracksByProcess 1, and then if i use it and enter the ie7 with protectec mode off the history appears blank but if i open ie7 with protectec mode on i see a lot of items in the history so
what history is it? wheres stored? cause my user history folder is empty after i use the shortcut as i can see in explorer.but the ie7 with protect mode on still presents a history thats annoying i want it cleaned as im doing the shortcut command

The files in the low folder

by Dumphrey In reply to i read your material and ...

should be where protected mode is writing its history. My Vista experience is limited, and from what I have read, your "script" should work. It is possible its skipping all the files in low though.

You can test this by opening IE7, checking your history. Close IE 7, delete all files in low, and open IE 7 again. Are the history files gone?

If so,
Make a star up scrip that deletes all the diles in low and put it in start up or use the MMC group policy/local to make it a boot/log-in script.

today history is only clean if the browser inst in protected mode

by eerwrwrwrd In reply to The files in the low fold ...

i delete the low folder you guys told me and still the today history not cleaned, i guess is a bug cause this command line was provided by microsoft is not my code, in protected mode the previous days in history are cleaned but the today history not no matter what i do and i can find any folder wheres it located. if i turn protected mode off and run the commanda all history is cleaned then i turn protected mode on againa that history stills there so it must be not been stored in my user folder, but wheres stored is a mistery.
