Internet Sites with the New and Outdated Examples

    by clusardi2k ·

Hello, I’ve never developed a website. I’ve only studied CSS, HTML 5, and Javascript.

I just feel that I cannot compete otherwise with other developers on any future team that I join.

I’m looking for the largest practical website and/or websites with good examples to do everything commonly coded on webpages. The websites should be detailed enough so that I can duplicate the example on random websites.

All the most common technologies are acceptable.

(But, I don’t want to download terabytes of data! A few good large websites is acceptable. I don’t want websites with just a few examples.)

I definately want HTML, Javascript, and jquery. (I’m not sure that I want php.)

    Thank you,

Plenty of tutorials and a TRY IT NOW page to try it out.

HOWEVER why not go with WordPress like most do today? Be sure to lash an onion to your belt too.

If you do not or cannot do the work yourself, then you hire someone to do it for you. Seems like a simple solution to me. Not likely to get resolved by itself unless AI perfects the job for you at a reasonable cost.

Your mention of “future team” makes me think you want a career in web building. Employers want either formal education (at a college or university) or proven practical experience with a previous employer. Starting from scratch and only being able to tell something like “I made a few simple websites myself to practice” is not a very good starting point.

If you already have a job in IT, go and talk with HR about a career change and how they would support it by sending you to courses and let you do internshops. If you don’t have a job in IT currently, start a formal education. Just playing with HTML, CSS and javascript yourself won’t be much help, I’m afraid, unless you’re a hidden genius and can convince a future employer of that.

To improve your web development skills, you can look at a mix of modern and older websites with detailed examples using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Websites like MDN Web Docs (developer.mozilla.org) offer a wealth of examples and tutorials that demonstrate best practices in coding, including common JavaScript and jQuery techniques. Additionally, websites like CSS-Tricks (css-tricks.com) and CodePen (codepen.io) provide real-world examples of interactive web pages with clean code you can replicate. For a broader look, GitHub offers numerous open-source projects with advanced front-end and back-end code, allowing you to see how larger sites structure their code. These sites provide practical examples without overwhelming you with unnecessary data, and you can find a variety of content types to duplicate on your own websites.
