Inverter replaced on laptop no results

By aaronls2 ·
I just recently had my laptop's inverter replaced because of a dark screen with faint desktop icons still being visible. Which i guess is common practice in fixing this issue. I dont feel like purchasing a whole new display or monitor for my laptop considering it is a 1000 dollar laptop barely over a year old. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong??? This problem occurred for me when i was in france power surge? someone else suggested a lose connectin between my ground connection that goes thru the hinge area? Thanks for the time if anyone has any ideas..

If it is a LCD Monitor the Back light is faulty

And needs replacing if that is possible. Many times it's not easy to replace the back light and the makers want to sell a new Monitor which is quite expensive. If you opted in for the extended Warranty you will have it replaced Under Guarantee. But if that wasn't an option you're stuck with what you've got try looking up on places like E-Bay for a monitor for that model NB and it helps if you look up the makers Web Site for Spare Parts as quite often one monitor will fit several different NB's.

As far as the Earth goes it should be a wire screwed into the hinge so that is unlikely to be the problem unless the unit was not reassembled properly.
