Invisibility Ethic-In addition to Jason Hiners OS Proposal

By psuedoward ·
In Jason Hiner's "How to save the PC: A petition to Microsoft and Apple" he mentions that the partitioning should be invisible as well as some of the other processes. In all actuality, unless you are seeing the actual machine code and actively streaming and perceiving it in your mind with the additional ability to comprehend the information (i.e Neo from the matrix), all installations and processes are invisible to the end user; except for Neo.

This being said, the intent of the operating system is to, with the pun intended, operate. The way the OS is presented does not match it intent; this is the trickery of the marketing teams. This trickery has swayed the programming teams to make the product fit the presentation and not to program with the original intent in mind.

Finally, I originally presented the title of this post as "Invisibility Ethic-In addition to Jason Hiner's OS Proposal". My intent was not on ethics but to actually support Jason Hiner's proposal and hope the the poetic mention of intent vs presentation was perceived (at worst, only subconsciously) to the readers.
