IP address

I was on an Australian discussion Board going back and forth discussing issues. However several times my IP address on top changed ending in the Board accusing me of posting under differtent aliases using the IP address as the reason. Also a couple of others posting also had my IP address at times. Could you explain the anomaly if there is one and how come it shows up on someone else’s posting.
