ip instead of in website add

By BLewis ·
see if I can explain this. we have a website, but when you go to it, it changes the address line in your browser to the corresponding ip address. For looks we prefer it to stay as the name.

Is there something I can do? How to fix this?

here's the deal, our www site is hosted by an individual, not on our main site. so our main site is forwarded to the correct site. So, I don't need to change the www alias, it needs to stay the way it is.
