IP leases on DHCP

sometime back i had configured a DHCP Server on win2k Server. now i am seeing a IP address leases with a telephone icon on the IP address leases tab. i know its related to Routing & remote access server. but i have stopped this service on the server. then to which device is this IP address getting assigned from DHCP Server.

Even though you have stopped the service, the DHCP server will not release the addresses it has assigned until the lease period is up. You can manually release them, but as soon as RRAS is started again, it will grab these addresses again. You canlimit the number of addresses that are claimed by RRAS by removing any devices that are configured in RRAS that you don't need. For example, typically RRAS configures 10 VPN channels automatically; if you don't need this many, you can remove then and keep only the ones you feel will be used. Hope this helps!
