ipod Detector on win XP

hi friends i m chinkal here from india .
well i have an apple’s Ipod (Nano black 4GB) but unfortunately it has been formated by friend & now it’s unable to detected on win Xp O.S well so Any body can give me solution ..
(2) when ever i connect to Ipod to laptop in ipod it only shows Apple Logo. but unable to detect Even i have installed iTunes 7.0.2
