IPv6 security

I think that, as layed out in this article, IPv6 has may merits. The comparison to the Y2K experience was very interesting.

A point to ponder: I think the automatic configuration feature in IPv6 would/could be cause for GREAT concern. Seems like this would be a huge data security risk on an intranet as well as on the internet. If anyone could plug any old computer into my network and be automatically configured by monitoring traffic on the network, seems like they could “monitor” data and/or security traffic easily as well.
