Is anyone aware of an independent security review of 8×8?

    Hi,

8×8.com bought the open-source video conference tool Jitsi in 2018 and have since been developing its capabilities.

Jitsi is “the privacy tool” for video conferencing, featuring end-to-end encryption for 1:2:1 calls and are now the only video conference provider available to the public that features end-to-end encryption for group calls.

Has anyone done a security review of 8×8? Their video conference tool is based on Jitsi, but does that make their service necessarily as privacy-focused as Jitsi?

Does anyone have any data as to who owns 8×8? Blackrock has a large institutional holding: https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/eght/institutional-holdings

    Thanks
    Andreas
