Just recently I’ve head news of growing interest in holographic storage.(http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9584_22-5973868.html) Maxell just announced it will have some available to consumers by Sept. 2006. Word has it these discs can hold up to 300GB. Will this actually stand a chance against BluRay or HD-DVD? Even if its a superior product, what’s it going to take to get it on the map? Everyone loves to root for an underdog.
