Is it true that Apple paid Microsoft billions of dollars to use Windows OS features of snap and shake on the Mac computer also. I heard it were 3 billion dollars at least.

It’s common to pay the holder of a patent to be able to use it also. And it’s up to both to agree on an amount.

So what you heard might be true. Or partially. Or not at all. What is your source? After all, there’s a lot of fake news.

I am not at all surprised if it happened that way. The old saying, “You have to pay to play” comes to mind.

There is no publicly available information to confirm that Apple paid Microsoft billions of dollars specifically for the use of Windows OS features of snap and shake on the Mac computer. While it is true that Apple and Microsoft have collaborated on various projects in the past, the exact terms and amount of any financial agreements between the two companies are typically not disclosed to the public.

I’m not aware of any publicly available information suggesting that Apple paid Microsoft billions of dollars to use the snap and shake features of Windows OS on the Mac computer. However, it is true that Apple and Microsoft have engaged in various legal battles over the years, including a well-known dispute over the “Windows” trademark in the 1990s. It’s possible that there may have been some kind of licensing agreement or settlement between the two companies related to the snap and shake features, but without any concrete evidence or confirmation from either company, it’s difficult to say for sure.
