Open-Xchange Community Edition

by Toivo Talikka In reply to Is there a free easy to u ...

I have installed the Open-Xchange Community Edition in the Fedora Core environment and done some testing using Outlook 2003 OXtender. It is free but the management in the free version is not very straight forward, see the discussion comparing the free version to the commercial version at http://www.open-xchange.com/EN/product/os_vs_com.html.

Open-Xchange used to have a LiveCD demo of the system available for download, now they offer an online demo, a 30-day trial and a virtual appliance version that you can run under VMware Player.

The installer available from Giorgio Tobia's forum at http://www.giorgiotobia.it/node/4 is very helpful in getting the free version to run in the Fedora environment.
