Is there a new software update program?

By webmaster ·
I'm am curious if anyone knows of a current program out there that scans your entire computer to see what software and files you have and then searches the internet for updates. There are two things I use to use. One of them was CNET CatchUP and the other was McAfee Oil Change. Both of these are not active anymore and I havn't been able to find anything new. Does anyone know?

Thanks for responding to my question. It looks like the software you recommended would be great for what it is but it's not really what I'm looking for. The great thing about CNET CatchUp and McAfee Oil Change is that they found updates for absolutely everything from hardware drivers to Adobe Acrobat Reader to Paint Shop Pro. The other great thing about CNET CatchUp is that it was free. I realize that most recent software has a way to check for updates in the help menu or it at least tells you where to go, but it was just nice with those programs to let it do all the work. My guess would be that it just got to be too much work and they couldn't keep up. However, if anyone else knows of anything let me know.
