ISA Server with MAC Client

By daniely ·
Can anyone tell me if there is a way for a MAC PC to work with an ISA Server? Is a MAC supported in the first place? Thank you.

Contrary to the previous answer MACs can use ALL types of traffic through an MS ISA Server, not just the WEB Proxy Service.

You configure the MAC as a superNAT client (to do this you point the MACs default gateway at the internal side of the ISA server, and then define static routes back into your network). You can then use ALL protocols that are defined on an outbound basis.

MACs do not support user based control of outbound traffic, and you MUST enable packet filters for all outbound traffic that you wish your MAC client to use.

Got the terminology a bit wrong - Configure the MAC as a SecureNAT client (superNAT is something else entirely. Look in the help files for more info on configurig securenat clients - but ANYTHING that runs TCP/IP can be a this type of client.
