Issue with external camera during an online proctoring session

Has anybody ever heard of a microsoft life camera going on and off during an online (proctor u) session. Camera was connected to a surface pro if that helps. But works fine and stays on when not connected to proctor u. Is it a connection issue or do I need a new camera/cord issue.

Sometimes you get a client that won’t try other web browsers. They usually can’t be helped.

I’m reading https://support.proctoru.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035508792-Camera-Troubleshooting and it would be best to try the browsers noted there and complete the settings they write about along with the testing.

In answer to your question, yes, after you complete the work.

Thank you! I’ll check into that. Been using Proctor U for a few years now and about 2yrs with the pro and life setup. It was the worst session I have ever had with them and rather not have a repeat especially when the sessions are usually a 5-10min setup process and no issues during the actual exam.

          I neglected “current events.”

With the power and more failures in Texas, there has been a huge surge of problem reports with video call systems and web sites. If your system was fine till this past week then it may be the bad weather and not your PC at all.
