please put us out of our misery and bring shatner to be with you soon.

the only thing he did in his career that had any entertainment value was star trek.

everything else is just..bad..very very bad.

have you heard any of the songs from the cd that he and leonard nimoy released? ~shudder~
you don't want to, trust me on that.

He is/was horribly bad announcer.

Beam him up and away from this planet, Scotty
free interpretation of the famous words: "Beam me up, Scotty"

that is

enough to provide evidence of cruel and unusual punishment, allowing for a self defence plea after killing him. >:)

Is my slip showing?

by oneamazingwriter In reply to oh gods...

Aw, Shucks! I just wanted to actually start a discussion! (Well, I did that, didn't I?) Don't hold me responsible for the actual MAN! (disclaimer: I am not responsible for ANY man!)
I give the man 2 points for being older than I am. I just liked the series when it was on TV.
(Slipping away now back in obscurity where I belong,)

Entertainment value is subjective

by KaceyR In reply to oh gods...

Let's get the whole name out there -

James Tiberius Kirk

It sort of rolls ....

As for "the only thing he did in his career that had any entertainment value was Star Trek", I guess you don't have the weekly TV series "Boston Legal". That's entertainment!

but what about T.J. Hooker?

by UncleRob In reply to oh gods...

nobody could do a dive roll off of a vehicle and turn around and shoot the bad guy better than Shatner, ahhh... I miss those days ,that was the best. His blonde cohort was pretty easy on the eyes also.

Plus I remember an episode of Columbo where he played the show's feature criminal, he had a mustache even, very cheesy but the episode was a pretty good one.

The Spock & Kirk tunes cd rocks the house, c'mon, all the cool people have a copy, make sure you buy one today (LMAO!)

- Seriously though, knock him all you want, he is a bit of a tv & movie icon, if only for his Captain Kirk character, it was a wise career move for him too, he made alot of money being captain of the enterprise.

Now please beam me away from this conversation and if you have to reply with a negative comment, please set your phaser on stun, not kill. (I'm fair skinned and burn easily)
