Recently I have been having problems with my java working correctly on windows xp so I uninstalled it and went to reinstall it but received an error saying that ‘the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation’ yet I am the system administrator. I just removed some spyware that had been going around the network and wasn’t sure if that was the cause or if something else had caused it.
anyone able to tell me how to find and remove these ‘policies’ I have already gone through and enabled java through program access defaults, and internet settings (for both IE and Firefox), as well i have made sure that my account has permission to execute the program. doing these still won’t let me reinstall it
