By nchan ·
When users are browsing to our website.
www.cdb.com.au

Some are recieving a javascript error. Stating the following.

Description: Invalid Argument.
Source: http://www.cdb.com.au/menus/iemenu.js
Line:1

Can only confirm this problem when using IE v8

Do not recieve this error when using firefox, or IE v6 and 7

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, IE 8 has trouble with a lot of sites

But my advice would be to visit the site via the internet with IE 8, then trace the full error with developer tools. I'm not sure if IE still has integrated tools available for download, but it used to long ago.

I'd look here
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/default.aspx
for anything you might need to know regarding IE8. Blogs here
http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/

And just for example
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/359895/what-are-the-most-likely-causes-of-javascript-errors-in-ie8

I can only guess that you are using an argument that is deprecated in IE8 (does it matter if quirks/compatibility mode is turned in the browser?).
