Junk e-mail filter

I have Office XP. In Outlook 2002, I activated the junk e-mail filter, telling it to move the junk to the deleted items folder. Unfortunately, it copies the junk to the deleted items folder. It is still in my inbox, too. Did I miss something? Thank you.
