junk on blogs

I get a lot of comments on my website dubdubdub dot my hyphen albatross dot net - but it's all rubbish: ads for illicit drugs, casino gateways, prostitution,...
How can I get genuine commentators on my opinions and stories, and how can I keep these nuisances away? I imagine other people have the same problem.
