Kazza

By BorgInva ·
I use Kazza v2 and am having problems with it, no tech support number.
Some files are saved on my machine when completed from downloading, others are not. It is not extension specific either. Sometimes it saves an EXE, sometimes not.
It is not my AV program I assure you, and I have GIGs of space.
Any help please, especially if you can provide me with their tech number and/or E-mail address.

you aren't downloading anything from Kazaa per se but are downloading from someone else's computer. Kazaa just allows the peer to peer connection much like a gateway server. Incomplete or partial downloads, paused downloads are shown in the share download folder as a DAT file with name download[download #.DAT] usually 19 digit # with the .dat extension. If the source your downloading from quits Kazaa before your download is compeletd the words "remotely quened" will be in the traffic window on your download. If your having problems, uninstall Kazaa and reinstall it. [move all share files to a different folder].

Kazaa does have an option when downloading to download and open. Make sure when your downloading, you choose download and save.

This is a fresh copy of Kazza and I understand what all the terms are. Some files are saved, others are not. I need to figure out why files are downloading, and then when completed, are not saved on my machine.

Also, beware of downloading file with yellow icons!! It contains viruses.

I will keep an eye out, thanks. My NAV is always ready, and has blocked viruses within the DAT files being downloaded.

Interesting enough, I have found the missig files (why SEARCH did no find them is beyond me). They were in another directory on another drive. My friend belives that when you download files, it will look for the origial folder it was first downloading in.
So, that problem is solved, but I still need, for future reference, a tech number or Email address.
Anyone got one?

What? No ones knows their technical E-mail address? I am not that surprised. They like to hide their info like AOL.
