Kill the ads with the Virtual Cannon - Funny site feature!

By TobiF ·
The Swedish site Eletroniktidningen, currently has a funny feature, a Virtual cannon.

Visit http://etn.se/

Click in the upper left corner, on the text "<i>D?lig rubrik? Skjut den i bitar! Klicka h?r! Skjut med mellanslag. Styr med pilar. Identifera m?l med "B" Kod: Erik Rothoff"</i>

(Don't like the title? Shoot it into small pieces! Click here! Fire with space bar. Direct with arrow keys. Identify available targets with "B". Coded by Erik Rothoff.)

Have fun!

Edit: Fixed html-escaping of special Swedish characters.

Thanks for pointing out. I had fun in Opera, so I never noticed.
(I use IE8 for some sites that aren't happy with Opera)
Works in Chrome and FireFox. Just tried.

Who do we have to grease up to get this feature to replace the "mark as spam"?!?

I would prefer

the spammers themselves be the targets...

It'd have to be...

Kill enough of the little ones and you get a shot at the levelboss.
Has to be!!

The other way around

This one works the other way around. You're likely to first hit the large ads. And at the end, a couple of weird lines will be left, and you can't find their anchor, how hard you ever try.

Think spam and spammers! You've been in a spam crusade, right?

A bit hard to aim

by TobiF In reply to But

If one would base spam reports what you shoot down with such a rocket, then it ought to be much easier to navigate, otherwise, we're in for surprises.

So I just had fun, and "killed" the whole page.

A nice approach for convenient feed-back was developed by a Russian guy on the site http://orphus.ru/en
