Hard to offer help without more information. What specific model #? What cost? What specific games/applications do you intend to use? How old is the laptop? I see there are laptops and monitors with that product name from Asus. I have to assume you don’t want just a monitor.

By the time a gaming laptop is up for resale, there’s a good reason it’s being sold. Usually because it has issues playing games. Usually fine for office work and browsing but gamers often learn this lesson by buying and regretting it for years.

yes you can buy second hand Asus Rug laptops but before buying check all aspects like battery life, speed and more
