I have a Gateway 600YG2 laptop computer with a Mobile Intell Pentium 4-M CPU 170 GHz, 1 GB Ram running Windows XP Professional.
The computer has been working just fine then when we pressed the start button the processor fan comes on, and only the left-side modular bay LED comes on. The HD LED does not come on neither does the display. Then in about 30 seconds the system shuts down and the green LED that was lit turns red.
I have replaced the RAM, HD, CD-Rom, Floppy and the battery with ones from another Gateway 600YG2 and nothing. The components from the bad computer all work fine in the other computer.
I am thinking the motherboard, but would like any other suggestions.
