laptop choice / illustrator / low budget

    by tild26 ·

    Hi everyone,

I need to buy a laptop, but would like some advice before I choose one,

-Use : everyday use / watching videos / video calls / illustrator and lightroom (non professional and non intensive use)

    -Budget max 500

    -15″ (need number pad)

I don’t know much about laptops but after doing some research I found 3 that seem to correspond to my criteria,

    *IdeaPad 3i (15″ Intel) Intel 5

    *Inspiron 15 3000 Laptop Ryzen 3

    *HP Pavilion 15-eh0007na Laptop – AMD Ryzen™ 3

Would you recommend any of those ? any other ?

    Cheers !

    Tild

If you find a laptop that suits your needs, but lacks a numeric keypad, you can buy a remote keypad that links to your computer via Bluetooth USB connection for very little cost.

“Illustrator” = I’d check out display quality.

That number pad is all too easy to fix later. Maybe the display quality matters? Even that we can fix with an external display.

The machines you listed seem to be very similar. About all I would add to my list is:
      1. NO Hard Drives. Dinosaur item we need to forget.
      2. Good display because your job.
      3. Don’t worry about the number pad. Easy and cheap to add later.
      4. RAM. Two sticks inside. Total should be 8 or more GB.

Yes I was thinking of getting a 14″ and getting a bluetooth number pad.

what do you think of the display quality of those above ?

would you recommend any laptop ?

        cheers

If these have reviews over at notebookcheck com because they do tests of the LCD/display.
