My Dell Inspiron 5150 laptop flashes red, white, green, blue when powered on. No other symptoms. This morning it was fine … I had just loaded Webshots screensaver, it worked fine. I loaded several picture collections from my other computer. They seemed to work fine after loading.
Then turned off the laptop for an hour. On turning it back on, I have the flashing LCD. I hear the MS “tune” as it boots up, but it just flashes.
Connected laptop to old desktop CRT monitor – it works fine, so it a positive that the laptop LCD is bad?
