I have an HP Pavilion laptop about 3 years old. Recently I started to get a thin line that ran hoorizontally across the screen. Also, sometimes I only got a faded green tinted screen with no display; but when I move the screen back or forth they screen comes back, b ut still had the line. The line looks like a compressed image, because there are colors in it. Now I have a second line that is twice the size of the first line. Is this a cable, chip, board, or screen problem? Any suggestions on repair? If it is more than $500 , I might as well get a new model for $850. Thanks.
