Hi there, I have an old Sony Vaio laptop that I use for pretty much everything. It’s been cutting out on power randomly recently and I don’t know why. I thought it might be because I had the battery still in, even tho it’s dead, so I removed it but it’s still happening. Just now it happened, and it keeps cutting out a few seconds after switching on, so I can’t use it at all. I bought the cable relatively recently as a replacement for the last one that broke. I’m coming up to exam time on a uni course and really need a functioning computer. That said, I’m also broke so am hoping I can fix this some cheap way! Thank you to anyone who has any suggestions.
