Launching SQL graphical interface

By dvenu ·
I am completely new to the SQL server. Recently, I have installed the MicroSoft's trial version on my computer (PC, pentium-3, Windows 2000 ver).
Now, I want to get connected to Some existing Database, NorthWind using SQL server and would like to execute sqls.
I do not know how to get connected to sql server and execute the SQl scripts.
I appreciate you for your advice : how to launch the graphics interface to run sql statements.
Thanks,
Venu

Or use Query Analyser. Type in the server name and use either windows authinication or type in a user name and password. (you set it up, so you would use SA and the password when you ran setup.)

If their is no left pane for object browser, hover over the icons in the tool bar and look for object browser (or F. Then you can see Northwind and click on its tables, views, stored procs, etc.
