LDAP Ports

By jerry_a ·
Does anyone know of a utility that can be used to verify if LDAP port is open between two points? We want to check this as part of our Exchange 2000 implementation.

Found LDP.EXE which looks like it will fill the bill. Thanks.

Exchange relies on LDAP for Outlook Web Access authentication, so if you can log in via OWA to a particular server, then LDAP is running.

I believe LDAP is port 398, so a simple port scan would also verify that it's running.
