LF: a software employees can use to submit simple requests to IT
I’ve recently begun working in IT, and I’ve noticed that our ticketing system is awfully inefficient. Currently, employees will submit a ticket to a third-party website we use. Our IT department consists of two people – and we may not see that until we open the website later on our computers. Additionally, the employees themselves have no way of knowing that we’ve acknowledged their issue’s existence – which is especially problematic for high-importance issues.
I’m looking for a software that is simple and easy to use (I’ve looked into some IT ticketing systems that try to deliberate for you – I don’t need that. There aren’t so many requests that he and I can’t handle all of them) and notifies me (perhaps via email) when a request is submitted. I’d like for it to have an option for us to check and say the issue has been seen.
I’m having great difficulty searching for something like this – can anyone give me any suggestions?
