I just configured a new kernel 2.2.16 on my Rad Hat 6.1 and it was compilled without errors. When I edited LILO Conf and ran LILO -v it prodused something like
Reading boot sector from /dev/hda
Merging with /boot/boot.b
Boot image: /boot/zImage
Kernel: zImage is too big
The fact is that new zImage is smaller than vmlinuz-2.2.12-20 I had before.
I boot to Win98 and ran fdisk /mbr, but it didn’t help, after booting from the floppy to Linux I ran LILO again and got the same output 🙁
What’s the problem?
