Limit of emails?

Hi,

Is there a limit to how many e-mails can be sent at any one time? I have a client who has a problem with sending mass e-mails. He can send individually but not mass. I am talking in the range of 250-600 using Outlook 2000. No transport provider message is coming up after sending.
