Linux 7.2 and a Linksys Router

It's not an error but when i enter a website address under Konqueror i get the Linksys username and password type of screen. What's going on?

Does that happen on all websites you visit? This may have no bearing, but are you set up to have the router assign the ip to your linux box - use dhcp? I've used the linksys router as gateway on redhat's 6.2 through 7.3 and never seen this. Usually I'll install linux using dhcp, then change to a static ip after all systems go. Also, you might call their tech support, I've found them to be pretty good.

In Konqueror
go to edit ==> preferance
advance
proxy
check direct connection.
finish.
