You problem is divided into two parts. First problem is directory listing problem and another one is the servlet execution problem under Apache server. First problem is not so difficult to solve. Just add this lines to your httpd.conf file:
<Directory "/home/httpd/servlet">
Options Indexes
</Directory>
But I think it is not necessary due to the second problem. The second problem is that Apache server itself can't run servlets. You have to use servlet engines like Tomcat or JServ with conjunction with Apache server. Go to the http://jakarta.apache.org for futher instructions.
Ramil.

The new version of Apache (2.0) has a servlet engine, I believe. Upgrade to that and point to /home/httpd/servlets in httpd.conf.
