I’m glad that the largest percentage of contributors to Linux were/are being paid for their contributions. Otherwise, who will working for free. Those guys/girls need to feed their family too.
Can we open-source hardware and make the design free? I doubt it. Someday soon, monetization of Linux shall come to pass.
