I want to install Linux, which one (Linux) have better security and how many space of hard drive do I need?

RedHat does not give you security updates as soon as possible. Perhaps Debian is a good choice. 200M to 2G depending on what you want to install.

For best security, read a book. "Securing and Optimizing Linux: RedHat Edition" is a good choice. That book, and many others, are avalible at http://www.linuxdoc.org/guides.html

Unless you have limited hard drive space, I recommend you install with 3 or 4 G. This way you have room for additional programs and data. Also Redhat is the best distribution to start and learn Linux with. However for stability and security, I believe Debian would be the best choice. It depends on your wants and priorities.
