Locked

Loading Win2K W/O Keyboard

By limkingfoi ·
Hi All,

I had an application that only allows me to plug in my keyboard after Win2K is being completely loaded. However, this proves to be a problem as Win2K seems to lock the keyboard port when it fail to detect the presents of a keyboard duringstartup as there is no keyboard being plug-in.

This problem does not exist in Win98. Is there a way to solve this problem?? Thanks.

you can write your own script for startup W/O a keyboard present that Windows will use during startup [or a reboot]. Techrepublic just had an article on writing your own scripts as well as .Net & Windows Magazine. Check out Techrepublic's white papers etc section.

We use this for our servers when there is a crash[automated reboot] or need to reboot a server remotely.
