I set a wireless network where i fed laptop and one desktop from my router.
For 6 moonths all went well, now the laptop does not respond, the logo on the task bar is blacked out and the bubble when highlighted says 'railink wireless LAN Card Not Exist'.
Could some one explain to me whats gone wrong....please.

Sounds like something got updated. Maybe the driver got updated or something. Its definately local to that laptop. Try removing the device in device manager and removing the wireless card. Reboot. Then plug in the wireless card again. I am assuming its a PCMCIA or USB type. If its build in, then you cant really remove it easily.

See if Windows will autodetect it, if not reload the drivers from the CD or get the latest and greatest from the manufacturer's support website.
