I do not want to use the GUI or AD. I need an alternative way using the command line, preferably, shell script or utility:
1. Configure Local Group Policy (specifically the disabling Windows Messenger at startup and disabling Windows Update). I can configure the registry but it appears to NOT affect the GUI (gpedit.msc).
2. Programatically configure the paging file (virtual memory settings). I am investigating pagefile.vbs but I would prefer to use a registry command.
Any gurus out there?
