This is the second installation this has happened to!! This installation is 2000 server, the previous was 2000 professional. All is working great until I install the Oracle’s OMS. After that, the next time I reboot, I am locked out. I get a message that says, “The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively.”
I get this message whether I try to logon to the local computer or into the domain, as the administrator, or any other account for that matter.
The only help I have found was on Microsoft’s web site. There was an article saying that a policy is set against a user, or group the user is in, denying user access to the computer. It suggests a utility “ntrights.exe” in the resource kit to remove this policy remotely from another 2000 installation that you have admin rights to. Unfortunately, this did not fix the problem.
I really don’t want to scrap this installation, as everything is working perfectly. (Besides this little ‘not being able to logon thing!’) So any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
